Trying to stay connected to extended family during covid can be tough especially when they are miles away. Luckily in our digital world it can make this a little bit easier. My kids have not seen my mom in almost a year. They always ask me when can we go see granny but for the time being we've put our travel plans on hold. So I was really happy when my mom called me up and told me she wanted to bake one of my favorite treats as a kid with the grand kids virtually. They had so much fun as you can see from the video below. If you'd like to make these delicious treats too the recipe is below! Shout out to my mom for letting me share the recipe :)

Chocolate Coconut Bars

Grease the bottom of a baking pan.

1 ½ C of finely crushed graham crackers

1/3 C sugar

½ tsp. Cinnamon

6 Tbsp of melted butter

Mix the first 3 ingredients then mix in the melted butter. Press mixture into greased baking pan.

Top with 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, 1 package of milk chocolate chips, bag of sweet coconut in that order.

Bake at 350 degrees until chocolate chips are melted and coconut is lightly toasted.

NOW EAT AND ENJOY :)
