This is a beautiful park with walking trails and a natural playground!
We visited Blendon Woods Park one day on a complete whim. We were running errands and passed by so we decided to check it out since it was a nice day out. This is a really nice park off East Dublin Granville Rd. that reminds me of Highbanks Park. We were only there for about an hour but, our girls really enjoyed the natural playground. This was a really cool feature that we weren't expecting. I've heard of natural play areas around the city but, this has been the first time we got to try it out for ourselves. They even have a small zip line! Our 7 year old was able to play on everything without help, our 5 year old needed a little help and our two year old needed a lot of help. If I just had her I probably wouldn't make the trip to this park but, it was great for the older girls. Near the natural play area are plenty of picnic tables and benches along with two shelter houses. There are two more playgrounds in the area as well but, our kids spent most of the time in the natural play area. Being pregnant I really appreciated the shade of the trees as the temperature was in the 80's when we visited. That alone moved it to the top of parks to visit in the summer months list. This was our first visit to this park and we will definitely go back again when we have more time and maybe even for a picnic!
